The 8th round of the International Chess Festival "Nakhchivan-2019" dedicated to the 96th anniversary of our national leader Heydar Aliyev has been completed at the Chess Center in Nakhchivan. In this round, the leader of the A group American grandmaster Timur Garayev (2560) won the Iranian intelligence Mehdi Orimi Qulami (2406) and kept the leadership.
Azerbaijani grandmaster Nicat Abasov (2633) won grandmaster Vugar Rasulova (2533). Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltac Safarli (2624) met with Azerbaijani international master Vugar Asadli (2454) and Uzbek international master Ortik Niqmatov (2469) met with Belgian grandmaster Vadim Malakhatko (2508). Both matches ended in a draw. Naxçıvanlı zəka sahiblərindən qrossmeyster Urfan Sevdimalıyev (2352) ukraynalı qrossmeyster Eldar Qasanovla (2506) oyunda üstün olub. International master Togrul Hasanzadeh (2323) lost to the Azerbaijanian international master Lokman Guliyev (2319) and international master Talib Babayev (2329) lost to the Indian chess player Shantanu Bambourni (2261). FIDE master Parviz Gasimov (2328) has signed "peace" with grandmaster Sarkhan Guliyev (2330). FIDE master Sadig Mammadov (2205) lost to FIDE master Govhar Beydullayev (2316). American grandmaster, who scored 7 points out of 8, became a leader. Azerbaijani grandmaster Nicat Abasov (2633) is the group’s second with 6 points. The other six intelligentsia share 3-8th places with 5.5 points. Elkhan Bayramov (2158) in Group B had won Amil Abbasov (2215) with 7.5 points and became only leader. Atilla Eynullayev (2175), Eldar Musayev (2152) and Fariz Akhmedov (2158) have 6.5 points in the asset. Festivalın “C” qrupunda İlqar Məmmədov, Niyazi Qafarov və Nazar Talqatovun aktivində 7 xal var.
